Fall 2009 Fixtures Established
With a memorable 2008-2009 campaign just ended last month, the upcoming Blacksburg Rugby season is already on the horizon as the fixtures list has been set.
Blacksburg will meet all of the other Division III members of the Virginia Rugby Union (VRU) local area union during September and October to determine the VRU champion and places in the Spring 2010 Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union territorial union Men's Division III championship knockout rounds. Blacksburg's first union match will be at home against Newport News on 19 September, though warm-up matches against non-VRU opponents may be scheduled for earlier weekends in September.
Blacksburg players and supporters are urged to get ready for an exciting Fall Season and plan ahead to accommodate for the matches when possible. Once again, Blacksburg owes sponsors Pabst Blue Ribbon, the London Underground, and Albright and Bongard for allowing another great Blacksburg Rugby season to happen.
